Winter Listening

A 7-Day Winter Art Journal Challenge for Creative Rest & Renewal

Winter is not asking you to hurry.
It is asking you to listen.

Winter Listening is a gentle, free, email-delivered winter art journal challenge created for women who long for creativity without pressure, reflection without performance, and rest that feels meaningful.

Across seven quiet days, you’ll be guided through:

  • simple art journal prompts

  • reflective writing invitations

  • soft self-care rituals

  • and whispered companioning from The Deep Listener

All designed to help you slow down, soften inward, and gather yourself for the turning of the year.

What You’ll Receive

Each day you’ll receive a quiet note in your inbox that includes:

  • a brief poetic “listening” to set the tone

  • one art journal prompt

  • one writing reflection

  • one winter self-tending invitation

The prompts are intentionally:

  • slow

  • open-ended

  • and forgiving of real life

You can participate deeply or lightly.
There is no catching up.
There is no behind.

Kind Words about Winter Listening

In a month filled with noise, distraction, and endless to-do lists, Winter Listening was a peaceful pause between seasons…a mindful bridge a reflective respite, a resting place.  It served as a creative “time out” that gently cleansed my palette, allowing me to release what was and make space for what will be as I prepare to step into January and set new intentions.

What You’ll Need

Nothing fancy. Use what is already near you.

  • A journal or sketchbook

  • Any papers you’d like to layer (optional)

  • Something to write and mark-make with

  • A candle or small light (optional, but lovely)

This is about tending, not acquiring.

A Whisper About The Deep Listener

Throughout the challenge, you’ll be accompanied by soft, poetic “whispers” from The Deep Listener — a quiet archetypal presence who holds space for what is not yet ready to speak.

She does not instruct.
She witnesses.

And through that presence, you’ll be invited to listen more deeply to your own winter voice.

Your Invitation

If the world around you feels loud…
If your soul feels tender or tired…
If you long to enter this season more gathered than driven…

You are warmly invited to join us.

Let winter be more than a season this year.
Let it be a listening.
